I always believed this was a project that belonged to the citizens of London. Although we had to pay the bills and find the money, it was the expertise, opinions and ideas of everyone we spoke with that made it possible. I have continued to believe that this is the work of the community, for the community and by the community.

To provide, maintain and preserve safe, quality rental units in London, including affordable and mixed-income housing. We work with residents and community partners to improve housing options for people facing economic barriers, while advancing accessibility, environmental sustainability and responsible, financially sustainable growth.

Land Acknowledgement
London Affordable Housing Foundation acknowledges that we live and work on the traditional lands of the Anishinaabek, Haudenosaunee, Lūnaapéewak and Attawandaron peoples.
We recognize the Indigenous Nations neighbouring London: Chippewas of the Thames First Nation, Oneida Nation of the Thames, and Munsee-Delaware Nation, each with distinct languages, cultures and traditions. We also acknowledge the First Nations, Métis and Inuit peoples who continue to call this land home and contribute to our community.
We recognize that a land acknowledgement is only one step toward reconciliation. We encourage continued learning about the Indigenous peoples, histories, Treaties and cultures connected to the lands on which we live and work, and meaningful action toward reconciliation.

LAHF was established in 2001 and received its charitable status in 2004. The first housing unit was completed in 2007.
As an organization, LAHF does not rely on paid staff. Instead, we are supported by a dedicated and engaged Board of Directors, allowing us to direct your generous donations where they are needed most, straight into our community projects.
We are passionate about improving the lives of individuals and families in our community who are facing financial challenges and working to build brighter futures. Having a “working” Board means your support goes directly toward the initiatives you choose to support, helping ensure that your generosity makes a meaningful difference where it is needed most.
